Keep your profile up to date so colleagues and team members can identify you.

Your Profile

Your name and profile photo appear on notes you generate and in team views.

Updating Your Name

  1. Go to Settings โ†’ Profile
  2. Edit your first and last name
  3. Click "Save Changes"

Profile Photo

Add a profile photo to personalize your account:

  1. Click on your current avatar or photo placeholder
  2. Upload a new image (JPG or PNG, max 5MB)
  3. Crop and adjust as needed
  4. Save your changes
Professional Photo
Use a clear, professional headshot. This helps team members identify you and adds a personal touch to your notes.

Medical Specialty

Your specialty helps PatientNotes customize note templates and AI suggestions.

Specialty-Specific Features

PatientNotes uses your specialty to recommend relevant templates and optimize AI note generation for your practice area.

Setting Your Specialty

  1. Go to Settings โ†’ Profile
  2. Find the "Specialty" dropdown
  3. Select your primary specialty
  4. Save your changes

Available specialties include: Primary Care, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Psychiatry, Pediatrics, Urgent Care, and many more.

Practice Information

Add details about your practice or organization.

Practice Details

Your practice name and address can appear on generated notes and invoices.

Practice Name

  1. Go to Settings โ†’ Profile
  2. Enter your practice or clinic name
  3. Save your changes

Practice Address

If you want your address included on documentation:

  1. Enter your street address
  2. Add city, state/province, and postal code
  3. Select your country
  4. Save your changes

Professional Role

Indicate your role within your organization.

Setting Your Role

  1. Go to Settings โ†’ Profile
  2. Select your role (Physician, NP, PA, Nurse, Medical Assistant, etc.)
  3. Save your changes

Your role affects which features are available and how notes are attributed.

Language & Region

Configure your language preferences and regional settings.

Localization

Your locale affects date formats, default templates, and terminology (e.g., UK vs US spelling).

Changing Your Locale

  1. Go to Settings โ†’ Profile
  2. Find "Region" or "Locale"
  3. Select your preferred region
  4. Save your changes
Template Recommendations
Your locale is used to recommend region-appropriate templates. For example, UK users will see templates using NHS-style formatting.
